ErasmusDays and the DigiWork Project: Transforming Adult Digital Skills for a Digital Future

ErasmusDays are a special occasion that gives us the opportunity to reflect on our educational priorities and celebrate innovative projects that promote learning and personal growth. In this context, we would like to share with you our DigiWork project, which is strongly aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Program and the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027).

The DigiWork project was conceived with the aim of transforming the digital skills of adults in Europe. As we know, digital transformation is radically changing the world we live and work in. However, many people, especially adults with non-digital professional backgrounds, may feel excluded from this digital revolution. The objectives of the DigiWork project are in perfect harmony with the strategic priorities of the Digital Education Action Plan:

1. Promote the development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem:

The DigiWork project is committed to developing enhanced digital skills and competencies for adults, enabling them to fully participate in the digital transformation. This will help create a high-quality digital learning environment.

2. Create skills improvement paths for adults:

Our main goal is to create personalized learning paths that adapt to the needs and profile of adults. These paths will be tested using the design thinking method to ensure high adequacy and efficiency.

3. Increase the uptake of adult education:

We want to stimulate interest and participation in adult education by making digital learning engaging and effective.

The primary motivation for funding the DigiWork project is to support these priorities. We want to help adults become more digitally literate so they can face the rapidly changing job market, actively participate in social life and manage unexpected situations, such as the pandemic, more effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, the DigiWork project will contribute to reduce the disparity between EU states in terms of adults' digital skills. 

We are working to ensure that high-quality training opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of their professional background or geographic location.
